You
Can Retire In Mexico – A Safe Haven! - Let’s get right to it from the start,
what you get from reading this is highly dependent on the credibility of
the information and especially the one giving it to you.
So who am I to say these things to you and why should you listen. Sometimes
we listen to someone because they are the only one talking. Sometimes it’s
the smooth talking that hooks us, at least for awhile. But at the end of
the day, you have to ask yourself should I believe this guy or not. Credibility
goes to the heart of who am I. So, without further ado, let me share a
bit of my story. I was a single guy whose children were grown who was biding
time doing the best I could do while secretly holding on to a long-time
internal desire to find a new frontier, a new adventure. Long story short,
an opportunity to move south of the border appeared and it consumed me.
I thought, “Live and work by the ocean, why not?” So, I came to Mexico
to work, knowing no Spanish and having only a very limited exposure to
the culture. I certainly had no thought of retirement as I came purely
for the adventure. - Can

Has a New Immigration Law - If you want to live in Mexico, now's the time!
- Recently I read about the new Immigration law that Mexico President Felipe
Calderon signed just last month May 2011, regarding foreigners living in
Mexico. This new law is important for those Americans and Canadians that
already live in Mexico and equally as important to those who are thinking
about moving or spending a significant amount of time in Mexico. The law
reduces the time a foreigner has to have a temporary permit to reside in
Mexico thus providing a shorter path to residency on a full time basis.
One of the main advantages of this is only having to endure the annual
renewal of the temporary permit which, although only once a year, it is
time consuming and costly. As those of us that have been in the temporary
permit process for up to 7 years to gain residency know, reducing this
time period makes it a lot more attractive to want to be here in Mexico.
So, what are the other advantages of becoming a resident much quicker?
A resident has the same ownership rights as a Mexican citizen as to holding
title to property in the restricted zone (as you may know, foreigners can
only acquire property under a land trust within this zone that encompasses
area of roughly 100 miles from the US border and 60 mile inland from any
coast). Also, like Mexican citizens, foreign residents are exempt to capital
gains on residential property sales that met the conditions of Hacienda
(the Mexican IRS or Revenue Canada). Since one of the main considerations
in moving to Mexico for a foreigner to own property there, this is a big
plus to early residency. - Mexico

Working
in Mexico Know The Rules - While illegal immigrants
and foreign nationals protest in the streets of the United States of America
and promise that this is only the beginning, we ask our selves, if you
came here to work, why are you protesting on a Work Day and a the Communist
Holiday; May Day in the streets of America? Additionally if you do not
like it here, why did you risk your life and break the law to come here
in the first place? Additionally did you know what it takes to get a permanent
work VISA in Mexico? Since becoming a Mexican Citizen is virtually impossible?
Well here is what is required to attain and secure a permanent work visa
called a FM3. This is in addition to a US passport that would have to be
shown each time one goes to work.-

Investing
in Mexico Real Estate – Keeping Ahead of Trends - Especially when we are
new to investing Mexico real estate, we have tendency to look at how others
made it big in the past, and feel as though we’ve missed our chance.
But it’s important to keep in mind, it’s not about repeating what others
have done, but identifying the newest opportunities, keeping ahead of the
game. Playa del Carmen real estate is a perfect example. When Playa del
Carmen first saw its real estate boom, investors were sometimes “flipping”
a property during the preconstruction period, selling it off for a significantly
higher price before the complex or even the unit was complete! Earlier
on, others bought lots in places like Playacar and built a home which they
are now selling; while this process was by no means cheap, they are now
re-selling this home for considerably more than the total costs. Some buyers
look back at this with regret, wishing they had bought in early in the
boom.- Investing

Business
in Mexico – The Opportunities - The capital is
Mexico City with a population of 125 million people. The most important
language is Spanish although English is widely used in the business community.
Mexico’s main trading partners are the USA, Canada, Germany, China, Japan
and South Korea. It most important industries are food and beverages, tobacco,
chemicals, iron and steel, petroleum, mining, textiles, clothing, motor
vehicles, consumer durables and tourism. Mexico was the country in Latin
America that was the hardest hit by the global financial crisis due to
its strong dependence on the United States. Its negative -6.5 GDP in 2009
gave a big blow to its economy. Thankfully, they are steadily recovering
and is predicted to show positive growth rates for 2010. Even though Mexico
has been experiencing strong security problems, it remains a solid manufacturing
country in the Latin America region thanks to low taxes, less expensive
labor and overall cheaper operating costs. - Business

Don’t
Be Afraid to Travel to Mexico - Mexico has been
in the news a lot lately, unfortunately not very much of it good. We’ve
all heard about the drug war being waged on the Mexican border and the
countless number of murders, deaths and collateral damage suffered as a
result. We’ve also heard stories about the H1N1 virus, how it reportedly
originated in Mexico, and the many mistruths about it being widespread
and virulent throughout the country. I have a family trip planned to Cancun
in thirty-two days. While I’m naturally concerned for the safety and well-being
of my family members and myself, I’m not worried about my upcoming vacation
– a much needed getaway – in the very least. Hopefully the information
presented below will help dispel many of the untruths, rumors and public
opinion about traveling to Mexico and ease the fears of others planning
their vacation to this very beautiful and safe country. - Don’t

Tours of Mexico’s Hottest Real Estate Opportunities
- San Carlos is a five hour drive from Tucson and seven hour drive from
Phoenix. Diving is one of the most popular passions of visitors to San
Carlos, whether you’re a first-timer or a veteran. Crystal clear and constantly
calm waters provide an incredible showcase for more than 800 species of
maritime life. Two artificial reefs, a sunken ferry and several smaller
wrecks make the San Carlos and nearby Guaymas areas an ideal place to learn
and visit repeatedly. San Carlos is without doubt the best place in the
state to fish, with calm waters, comfortable temperatures, modern facilities,
700 slips for boats divided in two marinas and rental facilities. With
more than 800 varieties of maritime species San Carlos ranks second in
the world for sport fishing. During the summer sailfish, dorado, marlin
skyjack and sierra are the most common catches. In the Winter months cabrilla,
pinto bass, snapper, whitefish and yellow tail are the favorites. Immaculate
